Another certificate in the Sportalmmm. This time not a certificate of honor, but a certificate of quality that we can be happy about.

And now pay attention: “Association for Quality Assurance for Hiking in Europe e.V” has awarded us. From maps to the possibility of cleaning your hiking boots, from rental sticks to hiking snacks, everything is there, knowledge of the region, of course, and lots of good tips for wonderful routes in the mountains around Altenmarkt/Zauchensee, including places to stop for refreshments. The first highlight is always the 4-summit tour, but the “Path of the Moon”, the Strimskogel, as well as the awesome cosy Tauernkarleitenalm-hut, or the old road towards Altenmarkt are also beautiful hikes with quiet rest areas, lively springs, shady spots and sunny treasures! We have known and appreciated Zauchensee for many years, winter and summer alike. We (unfortunately) only now discovered the Hotel Sportalmmm. Pampering from morning to night. Everyone is always approachable and friendly, having fun at work and with each other (laughter and joy from the kitchen). Feel-good room, everything very clean, a great breakfast, also with special requests. The highlight: a 5-course dinner with an additional salad bar and cheese buffet is an extremely successful surprise every evening. We have never experienced such a kitchen. All in all, simply a pleasure that cannot be overestimated. Thank you very much, we have already registered for the newsletter.

Zauchensee and Sportalm can be described in three words: familiarity – enjoyment – wellbeing We felt incredibly comfortable at Sportalmmm right from the start and are enthusiastic about the great food. Starting with breakfast (3, 7 and 9 minute eggs, anything is possible), to snacks and supper as well. It’s highly enjoyable! You just feel good in this hotel. The location is first class, right in the ski area. The view from the cozy living room in the hotel is unique! There is no better place for our skiing holiday than Zauchensee and Sportalmmm.

This hotel is big surprise for me. We are well travelled and I would not expect this from 4star hotel. Perfect location- few steps from slopes. Very clean- very precise cleaning every day. Suite- we have booked suite on 1st floor with view on slopes, enough space for 2 people / separate room for kids. Saunarium and wellness- very nice saunas and relax rooms. Dining- breakfast and dinners- I was in a very luxurious hotel this year in Palm Dubai and that time I have said these were my best dinners in my life. I come to 4star Austrian hotel with no expectation and the dinner is one of the best in my life. This is a reason why we will be back as the food is not just food but a real pleasure. Overall very quiet and relaxing place, worth to visit.
