The Altenmarkt-Zauchensee winter sports resort is one of the renowned cross-country skiing regions of Cross Country Ski Holidays, a quality cooperation program for cross-country skiing. Directly in the village, 30 km of classic and skate cross-country trails provide carefree winter enjoyment. There are two main entry points at Rosnerfeld and at Therme Amadé with sufficient parking space. The Thermenloipe (3.7 km) and the challenging Hochbifangloipe (6.3 km) are among the most beautiful trails in Altenmarkt. The Waldhöhenloipe trail in Zauchensee also leaves unforgettable impressions.

Around Zauchensee there are a few peaks that offer peace and natural enjoyment away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes. On a ski tour, which can also be booked with a ski guide, you will experience the slower side of winter. The descent through the powder snow is the reward for the athletic ascent. This hotel is big surprise for me. We are well travelled and I would not expect this from 4star hotel. Perfect location- few steps from slopes. Very clean- very precise cleaning every day. Suite- we have booked suite on 1st floor with view on slopes, enough space for 2 people / separate room for kids. Saunarium and wellness- very nice saunas and relax rooms. Dining- breakfast and dinners- I was in a very luxurious hotel this year in Palm Dubai and that time I have said these were my best dinners in my life. I come to 4star Austrian hotel with no expectation and the dinner is one of the best in my life. This is a reason why we will be back as the food is not just food but a real pleasure.
